NIPPN's quest and challenge begin with ideas from life and thoughts about the source of human health. Responding to customer needs and demands from inside and outside the company, products are created from inventions and discoveries generated by individual research. The Central Laboratory

"Chasing dreams with hearts of both scientists and consumers," the Research and Development Division is conscientiously engaged in food product research and development.
The Research and Development Division, consisting of the Central Laboratory and Research and Development Dept. are mutually and actively undertaking research and development of food products including those processed from wheat flour as part of NIPPN's continuing pursuit of better "Food and Health". At the Central Laboratory, basic and biotechnological research is carried out. While at the Research and Development Dept., customer needs are analyzed and product development research is conducted in hopes of applying new technologies to customer-sensitive product development. In order to keep pace with ever changing consumer trends, teams are formed when the need arises and they respond with flexibility to achieve swift resolution to problems. In developing safe and reliable products, NIPPN is pursuing mankind's desire for better health and greater longevity.

The Central Laboratory

The continually widening range of NIPPN's R&D activities is creating better than ever technical competence and reliability.
Located within the Central Laboratory are the Cereals-Grains Science and Bioscience Laboratories as well as the Analysis Center. These facilities, while carrying out their daily businesses of research works, analysis and various experiments, on top of medium and long-term research development issues, are also moving forward and strengthening technical development through solid basic research. The active pursuit of intellectual property rights and verification of patent application availability is also being conducted. Within the Research and Development Dept. are the R&D Marketing Group and the Food Processing R&D Laboratory. Additionally, 4 other technical centers are located nationwide where activities ranging from product planning to development as well as retail promotion activities for newly developed products, proposing and implementing consumer tests, technical training meetings, and offering technical guidance to preferred customers are being conducted.

Anticipating the demands of the times through cutting edge research. Small buds bear large fruit.
Analysis Lab is in charge of developing analysis technology which would further promote safety and reliability. Bioscience Lab has been active in pioneering new enterprises and developing new markets. The Health Care Team is investigating commercial applications of bioactive materials such as health foods and food ingredients, while the Bioscience Team is working on in-house ventures in the field of applied molecular biology.
